We love nothing more than developing new and exciting products at Best Foods, and we were delighted to work alongside ALDI to bring a taste of Greece to the UK’s supermarket shelves. ALDI’s new Oakhurst Gyros feature seasoned seared chicken or pork, tzatziki sauce and two pitta breads.
The launch follows a surge in popularity for the traditional Greek street food on TikTok, and the at-home version hit the shelves in May 2022. The response from consumers has already been overwhelmingly positive, with one food vlogger – Bald Foodie Guy – declaring the dish ‘amazing – definitely one to try’ to his 35k YouTube subscribers.
